Point-In-Time Homeless Count

The Point-In-Time Homeless Street Count is an effort to learn more about the individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Riverside County and throughout the entire country.  In order to accomplish local and federal goals toward ending homelessness, we first need to know who is experiencing homelessness, where they are, and better understand the factors surrounding their housing crisis.

Volunteers are needed Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to survey individuals experiencing homelessness in Palm Springs, so they can be provided with programs and services that will best fit their needs.  No prior experience with the Homeless Count is needed!

Volunteers are mostly needed during the morning hours to help with the early count. Volunteers can also count during the lunch hours, but there is no obligation to work the entire seven hours. Just a few hours of volunteer time is greatly appreciated!

Mandatory volunteer training sessions will be offered by The County prior to the Count. Please use the following County link to register for their online training session (previous volunteers only) or one of the onsite training sessions (in-person) below. https://www.research.net/r/D7QHTQ3
